Looking After Clients in the Hairdressing Salon

Client care involves making sure that customer feel comfortable and satisfied with the services and the way they are treated. Why is this important? A beauty salon is a business plus it cannot keep going without client. Customer service is very important for two reasons: Unisex

 It determines whether client come back to the salon.
 It affects what clients tell other folks about the salon.

A client's experience with a salon starts with their first contact, often on the phone. When a person makes the salon that like to be greeted inside a friendly manner. In addition they like to feel taken care of or valued. But there's a point though where this is sometimes a bit too intense; when the salon appears to be trying too hard, many clients start to feel uncomfortable.

Attempt to develop an awareness of client comfort. Browse around and think, 'Are they alright?' You can tell by facial expression and body posture. Are the clients relaxed and being looked after?

If they are carrying things, if they have a coat or another outer clothing, find out if you can help them with this particular. Take care of their personal belongings. Put them where they will be safe. Otherwise sure, ask other salon staff.

During the work with customers remember about health and safety issues.

 Do not allow products to get onto skin or into eyes.
 Take want to avoid cuts when utilizing sharp instrument like hair cutting scissors.
 Be aware of the chances of infection.
 Look out for problems with electrical equipment.

Eye-to-eye contact with the client is really important as it is believed to be the essential of trust. Looking elsewhere when they talk to the client won't make them feel uncomfortable, but will also make them doubt your sincerity.

Everybody encounters a challenging client at some time. It is not easy situation to be in, but be sure you stay calm and polite. There's no point in getting involved in a disagreement. If necessary, explain carefully and calmly that you are going to get your supervisor involved and will only be a moment. Often other folks will be alerted from the client's actions and behaviour, but make sure you ask for assistance. A lot of communication with clients involves confidence, good training and practice. There will almost certainly be occasions when you need help. How will you know if this is? If this is after a little problem with a client then its too late. Many trainees are unwilling to ask supervisor. But don't forget there is a balance between asking for help too often or otherwise often enough. The best rule is to error on the site of caution. If in doubt of any kind, ask for help. As your experience grows, this assistance will be needed much less.

To sum up there are five aspects to coping with client:

 Be courteous.
 Be clear and precise.
 Offer help and assistance.
 Have good body gestures.
 Clarify any uncertainties.
